We are excited to welcome Lincoln Senator Anna Wishart, Vice-Chair of the Legislature’s Appropriations Committee, to our October 27th Public Policy Forum for a timely discussion on the process and programs being considered for investment under the federal American Rescue Plan Act.
The State of Nebraska has received $1.2B from the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), which will be allocated to various programs and efforts to assist in our economic recovery. Local government units, including counties, school districts and cities, also have received ARPA allocations. The Appropriations Committee recently held a public hearing on Senator Wishart’s interim study resolution directed at seeking input and ideas from stakeholders.
Senator Wishart has been a leader in developing legislation and other responses to help small businesses and individuals regain their economic footing as we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
