Enabling workers to obtain stable, good-paying jobs by providing job search assistance and training opportunities.
How to get started
Step 1
Set up or update your NEworks job seeker account at neworks.nebraska.gov
Step 2
Set up an appointment with a career planner. Meet with them at the American Job Center, in Wahoo, Ashland, or virtually.
Step 3
Work with a career planner to begin your journey to a new career.
It Starts with a Living Wage
Our career planners will work with you to identify living wage standards for your life situation. We will then work with you to identify careers that support a living wage. We will emphasize the use of the H3 website (http://H3.ne.gov) to help you identify, acquire skills, and enter high wage, high-skill, and high-demand (H3) careers in Nebraska. All program activities will be centered on the achievement of this primary goal.
Employment & Training Services
Activities that will support you in securing a stable, good-paying job are listed on our Job Seeker Services page.
Eligibility
All applicants may be considered eligible for services with priority given to recipients of public assistance, other low-income individuals, veterans, and individuals who are basic skills deficient.
Cost
All services are provided at zero cost to the job seeker and are funded by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.
Success
We measure success by the achievement of our people, by the jobs they can find, and the quality of life those jobs offer. It is our goal to help you find good employment and keep it or advance.
