We provide resources and guidance on maintaining a strong connection to Native American heritage while pursuing career opportunities.
Career Counseling and Guidance
Our career counselors understand the unique career aspirations and challenges of Native Americans. We provide personalized counseling and guidance to help you explore career paths that align with your interests, skills, and cultural values. We offer advice on educational opportunities, training programs, and certifications that can enhance your career prospects.

Our career advisors offer guidance on resume writing, interview preparation, and job application strategies tailored to the needs and preferences of Native Americans.
Entrepreneurship and Business Development
For those interested in entrepreneurship, we offer resources and support to start and grow businesses. Our experts can guide you through the process of business planning, accessing financing options, and connecting with business networks to foster entrepreneurial success within your community.
Training and Skills Development
We offer training programs and workshops to enhance your skills and increase your employability in various industries. Our programs are designed to align with the needs of Native Americans, providing relevant training that combines technical skills with cultural awareness. Participants can combine funds from both the Ponca Tribe WIOA program and the American Job Center WIOA program to support your training expenses. This means that you can access additional financial assistance and resources to help cover the costs of your training program. By leveraging these combined funds, you can receive comprehensive support to pursue the education and skills development necessary for your career goals.
We provide supportive services to help overcome barriers to employment. This may include assistance with transportation, childcare, work attire, and accessing community resources to meet basic needs while focusing on career development.
Integrated Service Delivery
Services are typically delivered collaboratively by the Adult Program and the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska WIOA Program. To further enhance our services, we collaborate with partner organizations. Some of our partners include:
- Employment Support: Reemployment Services by the Nebraska Department of Labor assist individuals with resume development, cover letters, job referrals, mock interviews, and job search assistance. Workshops are also available to enhance job search skills.
- High-Demand Vocational Training: Southeast Community College offers training programs for high-wage, high-demand, high-skill occupations, with options for associate degrees, certificates, and entrepreneurship training.
